Letter from the 2023 President
TAAD-IAAO Members,
Thank you to all the members of the TAAD-IAAO Chapter for instilling confidence in me and allowing me the honor of leading this chapter over the next year. Thank you to our previous president, Jason Cunningham, for serving as president over a successful last year.
Since joining IAAO in 2013, I have understood the importance of having a community of professionals in the same field to be able learn and grow from and with. Our chapter in Texas is an important part of the IAAO, and it is important that Texas is represented in the IAAO. Since the chapter was formed in 2014, our goals have been similar and each year we have strived to provide more and more for our members.
I look forward to steering this chapter through another year, providing relevant educational opportunities. I encourage you to take advantage of these seminars and classes that the education committee will put together.
I encourage anyone working towards an IAAO designation and taking classes this year, to apply for our scholarship. For any districts wanting to apply for their CEAA or doing their 5-year recertification, the chapter is poised to help with application fees through scholarships.
Thank you to the new chapter officers, and all those of you that have been willing to serve our chapter. If you have any interest in serving our chapter through committees or otherwise, please let us know.
Lastly, I look forward to continuing to improve our TAAD-IAAO chapter and finding ways to help our members to be more successful in their profession.
Sincerely,
Billy White, CAE, AAS
TAAD-IAAO Chapter President
